Navigate Your Career Transition With Confidence

  • Primary - FiDi 26 Broadway 8th Floor New York, NY 10004 United States (map)

“I knew that it was time for a change when the idea of spending another week in a cubicle behind a computer became unbearable.”

Are you done with the 9-5 life and are ready to make a change?

Navigate Your Career Transition With Confidence is a half day event aimed at helping those who want to leave their 9-5 behind to develop a passion-fueled career.

Organized by CYP Founder Jacqueline Misla and CYP content contributor Dominique Mas, who have both spent years helping people navigate their career transitions, this event is designed to help those who are thinking about or just starting out on their journeys.

20% of small businesses fail in their first year. There are three things that can help you be in the 80 percentile: the right mindset, a clear roadmap, and a strong network. On Saturday, September 7th, join this curated and diverse group of independent professionals, as they share their lessons around how they successfully navigated the path from working on someone else's vision to manifesting their own.

You’ll learn from Dominique Mas on how to embrace the exploration that will allow you to build the knowledge and tools to navigate, define, and embody your new career with confidence. After spending 15 years in educational leadership and traveling across three continents, Dominique leveraged her experience to launch a successful coaching practice, catering to high performing clients who come to her for help with transition and transformation.

You’ll learn from Jacqueline Misla on how to let go of the old patterns, stories, and roles that are holding you back from manifesting your dream by providing a roadmap for shedding the unwanted baggage. Jacqueline has worked with individuals (from the C-suite to the classroom) and companies (from multi-million dollar non-profits to small start ups) to successfully navigate through change. She is the founder of an organization that helps women transition out of jobs, relationships, and lives that no longer (or may never have) fit them, to live in alignment with who they really are.

You’ll learn from Mark Trippetti, an internationally experienced strategic and creative brand development executive, who left his career to follow his passion. He successfully launched GoInsideOut, a consultancy aimed at providing corporate business leaders the emotional and organizational tools they needed by employing the core tenants of the wisdom traditions of India and Tibet.

You’ll learn from Effy Blue, a sought-after relationship coach, author, and founder of Curious Fox. After years of traveling the world and working with high-profile clients as an executive within a successful marketing firm, Effy followed her curiosity and deconstructed her old life in order to build a new career and philosophy around creating “relationships by design.”

You’ll learn from Vladislav Borimsky, who spent years behind a desk at a corporate job while exploring his love for photography on the side. With his time behind a cubical becoming increasingly monotonous and unsatisfying, Vlad decided to turn his passion into a profession. Now an acclaimed photographer, Vladislav spends his days shooting award-winning documentary, lifestyle and portrait photos.

You’ll learn from Tillie Eze, a former fashion editor and current lifestyle blogger, who founded a women-only retreat company focused on self-discovery and healing. After battling depression and anxiety which was exacerbated by an unfulfilling job, Tillie worked with a life coach to transform her life and wellness. Rooted in her understanding of moon cycles and her practice of meditation and vegan eating, Moon Me provides self-discovery semi-annual retreats to Spain.

You’ll learn from Courtney Brand, the founder and CEO of thelighthouse, which empowers professionals with the network, insights, and support to thrive in their ever-changing careers. After working as a Management Consultant in New York, Shanghai, and Beijing, Courntey founded her own organization to support others with acclimating and thriving in an ever-changing global work environment.
